Split PDF Into Separate Files

Divide a PDF by page ranges or pull every page into its own file.

Splitting is how you share one chapter without handing over the whole book. Every page appears as a preview you can enlarge, rotate, reorder or leave out, and clicking the scissors between two pages starts a new document there. You always see exactly which pages land in which file before anything is built, and the whole thing happens inside your tab.

Drop a PDF to split

Every page is previewed so you can rotate, reorder and choose where it divides.

Files stay on this device — nothing is uploaded.

Processing Happens in Your Browser

Processing happens locally on your device. Your file does not need to be uploaded to our processing server.

How it works

  1. 1

    Open the PDF

Drop in the document you want to divide. Every page is previewed locally.

  2. 2

    Tidy the pages

Rotate, reorder by dragging, or exclude any page you do not want in the output.

  3. 3

    Mark the split points

Click the scissors between pages, or choose to extract every page separately.

  4. 4

    Split and download

Take a single PDF, or a ZIP containing all the parts.

Features and benefits

  • See every page

High-resolution previews with a full-size zoom view before you commit.

  • Edit before splitting

Rotate, drag to reorder and exclude pages, all in the preview grid.

  • Burst mode

One click turns a 40-page report into 40 individually named files.

  • Lossless output

Pages are copied intact, keeping text, bookmarks-free structure and image fidelity.

  • Private by construction

The document is never transmitted, so page contents stay confidential.

Supported formats and limits

Any unencrypted PDF; output is one PDF per section, delivered singly or in a ZIP archive.

Everything runs inside your browser tab, so the practical ceiling is your device's available memory rather than an upload limit. Documents up to roughly 100 MB work comfortably on a modern laptop; very large files are best handled a few at a time, and closing the tab clears all of it instantly.
