Compress an Image

Trade quality for size with a live preview and a format selector.

Image weight is the single biggest cause of slow pages and rejected uploads. Move the quality slider and watch both the preview and the resulting file size update immediately, so you can find the point where the saving stops being worth it. Switching the output format to WebP often halves the size again at the same visible quality.

Drop an image to compress

The preview updates live as you move the quality slider.

Files stay on this device — nothing is uploaded.

Processing Happens in Your Browser

Drop in the file you need to make smaller.

  2. 2

Features and benefits

  • Live preview

See the actual compressed result, not an estimate.

  • Before and after sizes

Original size, new size and percentage saved, always visible.

  • Format selector

Export as JPG, PNG or WebP whatever you started with.

  • Local processing

No upload queue, no daily limit, no copies left behind.

Supported formats and limits

JPG, PNG and WebP input and output. WebP typically produces the smallest files at equal quality.

Everything runs inside your browser tab, so the practical ceiling is your device's available memory rather than an upload limit. Documents up to roughly 100 MB work comfortably on a modern laptop; very large files are best handled a few at a time, and closing the tab clears all of it instantly.
